6 types of girls found in every college.

·       Baby talker – This is probably the girl who hasn’t hit puberty yet. Even after getting into college she gets mad at her friends because they didn’t hug her while saying goodbye until next day. Whenever you meet her you will get a hug and a dose of “How is my baby, did you eat your food?” Words like baby, bae, honey and sweetie are her most common used words. Though she is liked by all yet comes across as a little bit annoying at times. But hey, you know whenever you’re sad her warm hugs are all that’s gonna make you feel alright.

·       I hate it all – She’s the one who is frustrated about her life. She thinks her college sucks and everyone around her is just fake and nonsense. She likes to be alone most of the time and complains about how life is a bitch and she just hates it all. But you know you can always count on her for some real advice.

·       High and numb – I kid you not when I say that I happen to have classmates like these. They don’t really know what’s happening around them nor do they give a fuck about it. They have the capacity to take daily’s bullshit and turn it into smoke although it kills. But the best thing that you like about them is that they are not the ones who judge you nor do they really care about what you have done. If they want talk you, they will talk to you.

·       Pout lover – They just love themselves way too much that they like to take photographs on almost daily basis with their so called “bffs” and can be found on every social media platform from Instagram to snapchat with at least of 500+ posts with god knows how many different kinds of filters. There hashtags are same all the time “my babies, my baes, my cuties and my life”. The duck face and pout is something that they can do in their sleep now (well practice peeps, well practice). For all I know is that if you need a photograph for fun, always head to them because they don’t care as long as your camera quality is good.

·       Ms. know it all – The as usual geeky and studious girl with answers to everything. You know you pray to god that in exams she sits near you so that you can pass. She is the kind of girl who is very busy during exams not studying but answering phone calls of people who are studying. She has probably done her revision for the 5^th time by the time you’re thinking to open your book. Your last hope in passing is her and she knows it.

·       The cool bitch – You just hate her, you can’t stand her and the worst part is you don’t even know why? Oh yeah, let me give you a reason because she’s sassy, popular with boys and has good clothing sense. Maybe you’re jealous of her and don’t want to admit it or maybe you think she’s a fake and even then you’re jealous and don’t want to admit it. When you tell others that you can’t even stand that girl and they ask for a reason, you’re numb because even you don’t know it.

Graduation Blues!

Dear freshers, this one’s for you.

First of all, congratulations! You made it. You made through the pressure of completing assignments, attending 9 am lecture, keeping sane, balancing social life and doing an internship. Just gave you nostalgia, yes?

But, then came the graduation day, when you saw 80% of your classmates for the last time. With hope in your heart and charisma to take over the world, you thought that now it gets better. The life is going to be sorted, after all you have graduated.

Then came a notification, a friend got into IIM. You were happy, happy that he made it but is it really? A little part of you wished, wished you were him. Scrolling through the feed, you found out someone from your class made it to Google when all you were thinking was to have some noodles.

Here starts the panic. The dilemma about what to do? Choose masters or do a job? Suddenly, it occurs that nobody hires freshers. You doubt whether you chose the correct field. “Is this stream really me or was I born to do something different?”

Friend by friend everybody gets where they wanted while you stand there choking on your life decisions, wishing you did things differently but feel the time has gone. Stuck at home, anxiety falls all over. Do what will make parents happy? Or listen to that little confused heart? Feeling scared about what is going to come and destroying present by over thinking becomes a pattern.

But I just want to let you know, that you are not alone. Every person goes through the same cycle, yearning for a miracle. That little voice in your head, will guide you through the dark for it has seen your fears and knows what you desire.

Maybe it’s not your time yet, but believe that time does change. Family, neighbors will speak for a while, but what you create will later define your life. Just keep on going and do your bit cuz without that even God can’t do shit.

Ways social media has affected our vocabulary

Beginning of era of social media has been an end of intelligence for some people and apparently they all decided to hijack internet with their great vocabulary and made internet a platform for people to laugh on them. Here is how it goes down the hill from here. P.S – If you are one of these, don’t feel offended and try to grab a lesson. 

1.   The math talker - "K f9 LL TLK 2 U 2918 W8 F4 ME B4 U SLP" like who has the time to switch between alphabets and numbers but not enough time to write properly the way normal humans can understand. Like are you speaking English or maths because equation of your words makes no sense.

                                        

2.  Short form addict - I can see that you are really busy that's why you wrote "gud nyt" rather than "goodnight" but you had enough time to write "Byeee" with those extra e's.

3.  LOL ROFL struggle - Okay, I get it that it's really cool to write the most famous short forms like LOL but you could have just laughed in real and wrote that it was funny but no it's really important to create some confusion between laugh out loud and lots of love.

4.  Caption stress - From birthday countdown to hanging out captions all I can see these days is "my lifelines, my bitches, bros, my love, my cuties". How about writing something sensible next time rather than something that hurts everyone else's brain and makes them question your vocabulary.

5.  Cussing without any reason – Internet memes have made use of cussing words normal without any sort of “#%@&” as earlier people used to say “F@#k” rather than being straight up. 

Google offices are work goals

What are your expectations from a job? Less working hours, high pay check, insurances and holidays?

Apparently, Google office in LA offers much more than that making it work goals for everyone.

I don’t want to say a lot about it but the perks are worth being a total nerd. There won’t be a point to head home after getting this lucky job.

1)Boy and girl meet and hate each other – One of the most cliché story boy and girl meet but their thoughts don’t and eventually start to hate each other and get annoyed by one another but after a while they see good in bad and affection grows which obviously leads to love, marriage and happily ever after. 


2)Best friends, lovers later – Based on famous theory “girls and boys can never be just friends” one falls in love with another but hesitates to tell. Both start dating the wrong people but deep down still have feelings for each other. Both realize that it is love. The new characters screw up and old love reunites turning friendship into love. 


3)Doesn’t used to believe in love “BEFORE” – One character is a non-believer of love and thinks that love exists only in books and movies but not in the real world. When suddenly he meets the other character who believes and would die for love. Spends some time together and as soon as the other character is about to marry the wrong person, the cool one shows up being all “I believe in love now”. 


4)Sacrifice never goes wasted – One person has a crush on the other but cannot reveal it because the other person is already in love with someone else so the first person does the sacrifice of letting go but universe kicks in and makes them two together forever. 


5)Status symbol – I feel like the old Bollywood rom coms were mostly based on this story. One of the person is poor and other is rich which makes them unequal in the eyes of society and parents of the rich person mostly becomes villain trying to separate the love birds. But, who has been able to stop love? 


6)Sex ruins friendship – Two people very compatible not looking for anything serious become best friends with benefits but shit happens when one gets caught up in love and tries to break away which obviously leads to ruined friendship and other person feels like a part of him/her is missing and tries to win the other character back. 


7)Something is missing – With their perfect life with great friends, job and a lover, a person still feels like something is missing in their life and suddenly meets the other person who makes them feel alive and helps to loosen them up and the first person leaves behind that perfect life to be with that imperfect person forever. 


8)North meets south – Two people totally different that one is a screwed up emo looking person and other is the sweetest person alive on earth meet and feel different to be with each other, help each other to discover their real selves and helps to mend those broken pieces they had in their heart. 



9)A musical way to love – Take it from High School Musical to Always Kabhi Kabhi, these movies set high school standards so high that we are not able to achieve them even after getting in college. Basically, both are part of a group and crush develops and after spending some time together in “rehearsals” they get along well and shit happens. On the day of the play (which is mostly Romeo and Juliet) they figure things out on stage and thus Happy Ending with great clapping from the audience! Too cheesy isn’t it?

That other friend

Can you relate to the moment when you make plans with a friend but they cancel it at last moment because they got a sudden call to hang out with their “best friend?” You’re precious to them, you sure as hell are their “always ready to hang out” kinda buddy but you are just not their best friend you are their other friend. Next to the best friend, let me explain in a more geeky way.Suppose you are x and your friend is y and their best friend is z. Now x and y made a plan to have fun when suddenly z called y and asked to stay in because they are coming and now y makes an excuse to get x off the hook for the day cuz to y, z is more important than x.Phew, suddenly my geeky side leashed out. Well I hope that you have got my point. But, the worst thing is that when y is free and bored, y would just call x and x never refuses.So to have a little moment of truth, here are some reasons that your friendship is falling apart and it’s time for you to let them go and grow up :-·       When they cancel plans with you for more than 2 times just because they want to hang out with their other friends.
·       When something exciting is going on with their life and you get to know about that thing through their snapchat stories and Instagram because best friends have a rule like you used to tell me that stuff all the time and now you just put it on your story to let me know.
·       When your call log has no entry from them for more than 2 months. I know I know who calls nowadays? But, good friends do to complain about how their life is a mess or how their dog ate their dinner and sill stuff.
·       You test them once about whether they miss you or not, just don’t text or call them for like a month and if they don’t text you even a single time, I think it’s time to burst the little bubble.
·       When they hang out with some common friends but don’t invite you, you know your company is getting a little boring for them.
With this I would say, maybe you need to work on some skills like me and get out in the world again. Explore new things, put yourself out there and try to be yourself and fun cuz you know you are fun. 

Life and Death

life is too short to keep enemies and fights and too long when happy. You never when is the last goodbye to someone, that last touch, those last words. I heard somewhere that there are three stages to death.
1. - When we breathe for the last time
2. - When our body turns into ashes.
3.The most painful - When our name is spoken or we are remembered for the last time.

Sounds pretty depressing? It is.

What is the meaning of this life? People crave for beauty, money and power. But when that body is turning into ashes, no beauty is gonna stay expect for that beauty of heart, that purity of mind, that happiness worth money and no power can define you unless people are actually missing your absence in their life.

What is it about deaths that makes people cry I wondered once. Like today we are, tomorrow we won't be. Then I realized its not about that flesh and bones, its about the emotions that one attaches with another, it certainly reminds them that they won't be able to talk to that person again nor would be able to see them. Maybe, that's why photographs makes sense because it helps to cherish those moments that we spent with that person.

I read in Julius Ceaser - "The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interrèd with their bones."

I think that's true because when a person near me was murdered brutally, all I could hear people say was how he was wrong, how he called it for himself, I never heard someone say that he was a good father, a good companion, a good human being.

Well murder reminds how terrorists, blasts, accidents take lives of our loved ones without letting us say our final goodbyes. Ever wondered how someones goodbye can be their last goodbye ever? travelling in a train they might be, the train is bombed out, news will just show numbers of how many are killed but no emotions like a family does. Its just not acceptable that how someone can just take our lives in a blink of an eye with just a press of a button. How can someone else decide when I want to die?

I know no one is immortal and nothing is permanent. No one stays forever. But, isn't this a scary thought? that how one day we won't be around, we won't be able to feel ourselves. All we ever did in our life will just become meaningless. Living in the moment is what they say, I say let's cherish every moment spent in happiness and respect every phase of darkness we went through. Never have regrets in your life. Do whatever you want so that when you're lying on a bed, waiting to die, you never have to think "what if". What if i did this instead of this? my life could have been different.

Find joy in little things. Complete your cravings. Experience everything. Explore before you turn into ashes and get mixed into sand.
